  1. Mix the garlic and sesame oil together and let sit for a bit.
  2. Put the cabbage in a large bowl. Add the salt and the umami-boosting seasoning. Cover and shake to distribute the seasonings throughout the cabbage.
  3. Add the sesame oil mixture and the sesame seeds or tahini to the cabbage. Cover and shake to distribute the ingredients throughout the cabbage.
  4. Serve immediately. Can store for a few days.
