Zines

Zines are little DIY books. Usually fun to put in little free libraries, at actual libraries, or hidden wherever you want to add a little zhuzh.

What to put in it

Anything! There are no rules. Make it something fun for people.

• Some impromptu poetry
• Drawings you made
• Pictures you took
• Recipes you like
• Collages
• Political activism
• Art or writing excerpts you think people should know about
• A mix of any or all of this
• Anything!

The most important thing is that you made it.

How to make it

You can make it like a pocketmod to make things simple. Then you can just plaster it all together onto a copier and copy away! Bonus is you could do double sided and have double the space.

Or you could fold up A4 pages and staple them together so that it could fold in the middle.

Tips

• If you need to copy something with two sides and the back is bleeding through, use a black paper behind the paper to stop the bleeding.[1]
