Refried Beans

This is straight up from NYT[1], but it's refried beans, so do whatever you want from here.

Instructions

  1. Heat oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sautéing until browned and tender.
  2. Add rest of ingredients, boil and cook for five minutes or so.
  3. Mash beans until not totally homogenous. Remove from heat, salt to taste.
